Bike Rides

If you are a cyclist and want to escape the winters of your cold weather home base for a week or two of short sleeved winter cycling, I can certainly relate.  One can certainly get through the winter by bundling up like the Michelin Man and going out on fat bikes, but it is nice to remember for a short while, the joy of riding without that.

Landscapes

The Jaco area riding is on somewhat cultivated dirt roads through the jungle, passing charming little villages, and to often stunning overlooks.

Bike

I currently have for rent a great Scott medium frame Scale and a small frame Giant.  $40 per day or $175 for the week.  In the fall I will add another dual suspension Scott Spark with dropper post.

I ride three times a week, a short one hour ride, usually an hour and a half inteveral ride and a longer 2.5-3 hour and would be delighted to guide you on those.  And to point you to engaging other routes with different levels of challenge….. Those California and Arizona cycling camps go for $4-5,000 for a week.  A few more perks at those experiences, but you could get a wonderful bargain winter cycling experience here for a fraction of the cost…  And the Beach!!! And charming Costa Rica.  And maybe even dentistry if you have a need for that.

Some of the attractions of the landscapes are its waterfalls, thanks to the large amount of rain that falls throughout the year.
